WHEN YOU DANCE WITH THE DEVIL

Narrator Susan Spain introduces listeners to the residents of Thank the Lord Boardinghouse, a surreal establishment on the Maryland coast. The boarders are a disparate group, which includes a naïve young woman who is looking for love in all the wrong places, an omniscient octogenarian, a former career diplomat, an undercover federal agent, and the house's autocratic owner. Spain's performance bolsters a lackluster plot and links a cast of unlikely--and often unlikable--characters.
