FATAL BURN

In this second novel featuring Shannon Flannery, the protagonist becomes convinced that someone is trying to kill her and enlists one of her brothers, a private detective, to help. At the same time, Shannon's daughter, whom she gave up for adoption 13 years earlier, disappears, and her adoptive father shows up looking for her. George Guidall's performance is perfect--he manages to sustain a tone of excitement and drama throughout with well-characterized voices and expert pacing.
