THE HITCH HIKER

These thirty-year-old suspense plays from Canadian radio sound as if they were recorded more than fifty years ago. Retro even when first broadcast, they may particularly please fans of Old-Time Radio, though others will find them diverting enough. The scripts may be atrocious and the approach corny, but the voices are beautiful, the acting serviceable to excellent, and the production warm as an inviting hearth fire.
