Schuessler wrote this book to help couples understand the various stages of marriage and how to relate to their spouse and to God. Kim Jefferies, radio talk show host, introduces the work in a warm, friendly voice. Her manner is clear and her tone precise as she describes the book's intent and structure: Chapters 1-36 apply to the early years of marriage and Chapters 37-73 concern the mature years. Then Dr. Schuessler begins. He reads the devotions in a clear, easy-to-understand voice with specific pauses for clarity and an occasional humorous remark.
