PEARL HARBOR

The latest "active history" novel by Gingrich and Forstchen considers alternatives that could have changed the course of WWII. Rather than simply presenting a "what if" scenario, the authors depict the minds of the Americans, British, and Japanese who fought the war. William Dufris convincingly brings alive the thoughts and emotions of a wide range of characters while creating dramatic tension and gripping action scenes. The emphasis on military strategy and historic background makes this story thoughtful rather than action-packed. It's still fascinating as it takes listeners up to the attack at Pearl Harbor.
