CHURCHILL REMEMBERED

This quirky biographical sketch of Winston Churchill is presented through a collection of audio items gathered from the BBC archives. They cover a considerable range of time, from the Boer War (where Churchill first came to the public’s attention as a reporter) through his second term as prime minister of England at age 77. The pieces include recordings made of such luminaries of the time as Edward R. Murrow, Nancy Astor, and Oswald Mosley, and excerpts of Churchill’s speeches and interviews. Written documents and the narrative that ties the pieces together are read, perfectly well, by British actors. This excellent production is bound to interest many.
