RABBIT EARS TREASURY OF WORLD TALES, VOLUME 3 Bremen Town Musicians and Koi and the Kola Nuts

Two gifted narrators capture two very different stories. Bob Hoskins uses emphatically accented voices in a comic and sophisticated narration of Grimm's "Bremen Town Musicians." Herbie Hancock provides extended background music and playful sound effects as rejected pets journey to their new home. In contrast, Whoopi Goldberg's voice is low-key for "Koi and the Kola Nuts." Koi has been tricked out of his inheritance and goes in search of a village where he will be treated like the king's son that he is. The soundscape of this tale from Liberia, combined with music by Eugene Friesen and Goldberg's interpretation of all the characters, makes for a hilarious and unforgettable production.
