This carefully produced collection includes two stories and features the well-chosen narrators the series is famous for. In "Squanto and the First Thanksgiving," Graham Greene's voice is quietly deep and serious, well suited to the sometimes heartbreaking story of the Native American Squanto, who's captured, taken across the ocean, and sold into slavery before returning to help the Pilgrims. Glenn Close's voice sounds slightly bemused as she creates the ghosts of "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," humorously hinting at the story's possible human perpetrators while still creating the full drama of the gory horseman's late-night headless ride. Both narrations are delivered flawlessly, and both are well suited to their respective stories. The original music provided by Paul McCandless and Tim Story further enhances this fine production.
