Strong and unwavering, Cannavale delivers the material at a steady pace that brings the story to life. Cannavale does the impossible and becomes Jordan Belfort in a truly remarkable performance. While having Belfort himself assume the role of narrator for his memoir would have proved more interesting, offering a firsthand perspective of the events in question, Cannavale is the next best thing and might just be more believable as Belfort than Belfort himself.
