Narrator Barbara Rosenblat conjures a great combination of voices, with spot-on French accents and flawless French; a range of believable emotions; heightened suspense; and a wry delivery of the funny bits. In this story Tempe is working on several cases at once in Canada, and one might result in the discovery of a childhood friend who disappeared without a trace 30 years earlier. All sorts of surprises await the investigators as they untangle the clues, and Rosenblat keeps listeners engaged with a great performance.
