In this hilarious and heartfelt tale, a man struggles to "go green" in every way, shape, and form in his life, including giving up his beloved automobile in the hope of using as little fossil fuel as possible. Doug Fine assumes the role of narrator for his own memoir, and the result is comical, inspired, and compulsive listening for a wide-ranging audience. The truly outstanding aspect of Fine's reading is that it doesn't sound like a reading at all. Fine sounds as if he's simply speaking off the top of his head about ideas and concepts of interest to him. Ultimately, his story is a perfect blend of self-deprecating humor, enthusiastic environmental lecture, and touching personal memoir that entertains and informs.
