ZAPPED

When the lights go out in Manhattan, mayhem envelopes P.I. Regan Reilly and her husband, Jack, head of the NYPD Major Case Squad. Performing the quirky characters she so deftly created, Carol Higgins Clark leads us on a spirited romp of misadventures on darkened streets. Clark is among the few authors as talented at performing their books as they are at writing them. Humor is her specialty, whether understated or slapstick. With equal ease she captures eccentric gallery owners, bumbling housebreakers, wannabe comics, wacko jilted lovers, pathetic exes, and conniving teens.
