THE LAST HEROES

by | Read by Michael Russotto

Fiction • 12 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1997

Michael Russotto seems to be the "house reader" for all Griffin books published by BOT. Maybe it's time for a change. In the THE LAST HEROES, Griffin's writing carries the day. Although Russotto is above average in his ability to differentiate characters and genders, and is more than reasonably expressive in his delivery, he lacks depth of vocal quality in his presentation. From time to time his tone borders on whiny with an occasional uncomfortable sing-song to his cadence. Griffin's work, however, is wonderful. Characters, settings and historical content are developed to the fullest. But, to do Griffin justice, it's time for a new reader. T.J.M. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: FEB/MAR 99]
