Author Charles R. Morris's latest book has never been more appropriate than it is today with the recent economic downfalls in the United States. Here Morris explains, quite clearly, what exactly happened along the way and why home foreclosures are at an all time high while banks go broke left and right. Narrator Nick Summers delivers an occasionally entertaining reading that utilizes hilarious voices and production effects that are meant to imitate the always smiling voices of big name mortgage companies. Nevertheless, Summers himself comes off as a bit of a stiff for the majority of the reading, his voice droning on in the same monotonous tone. Listening is a bit of a pain at times, and with all the depressing information scrolling across the bottoms of television screens everywhere, there is little here that most people haven't already heard or experienced firsthand.
