LEGACY OF LOVE

Although this is not an extraordinary novel, it translates well to audio. True love and passion drive three generations of women to challenge the repressive social mores of English society, from Victorian England to WWII. Harriet Walter reflects the virtues of the protagonists, using a different voice for each. Pacing the reading well, she gives the characters exuberance and liveliness which enhance their spirits, strength and determination as they seek their deepest desires.
