LIGHTNING LUCY STRIKES AGAIN

Struck by lightning as an infant, Lightning Lucy discovers that she can willingly set fires, fly and levitate objects. She must find a way to control her powers. Bennett's masterful skill at characterization combines with her ability to conjure up voices and personalities that enliven the reading and add a quality of realism to the fantasy story. For the children's voices, especially those of Lucy and her brother, Nicholas, Bennett uses a higher range of intonation, capturing both their innocence and immaturity.
