AN AUDIENCE WITH CHARLES DICKENS

Less audio theater than a recording of Simon Callow's celebrated one-man stage show, in which he impersonates Dickens reading from his own work. Callow plunges in with such energy that one wonders if he will last until the final curtain. Yet, he delightfully chews scenery nonstop to the bitter end.
