In this warm, interesting, sometimes thoughtful, sometimes funny memoir, Audrey Meadows recalls the years she spent playing Alice Kramden opposite Jackie Gleason's Ralph in the classic television series "The Honeymooners." Read by Meadows, it is full of the nicest anecdotes of Jackie Gleason, Art Carney and Joyce Randolph and tries hard to capture the spirit of New York in the fifties and the Golden Age of television. An interesting fact is that Meadows is the only cast member who receives residual payments for the show to this day. She offers wonderful narrative voice and style; no one can tell her stories as she can. It seems an excellent choice for the audio format. For legions of "The Honeymooners" fans, it's a must have.
