LOVE LIES BLEEDING

A pair of murders keeps Professor Gervase Fen on his tippy toes in this classic 1948 mystery, which takes place at an exclusive British boarding school. Narrator Stephen Thorne romps through the cast of stuffy teachers and hysterical students—enjoying one accent after another. It’s a treat to have such a trustworthy voice narrating, so one can just sit back and enjoy the production. Speech Day at Castrevenford School was never so exciting, and luckily Professor Fen is there to investigate trysts and a kidnapping, as well as a lost Shakespearean manuscript and locket.
