THE MILLION-DOLLAR TATTOO

by | Read by Richard Poe

Mystery & Suspense • 8.25 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1996

It's difficult to decide which is better, Emerson's writing or Poe's narration. The first-person tough-guy persona provides suspense and fun. Seattle P.I. Black must assist Snake, who finds a tattooed dead woman in his bed. To complicate this baffling situation, Snake claims the woman is from outer space! Plots and counterplots abound, with a multitude of characters (in both senses of the word). Poe is great at presenting the many voices and bringing a personality to each. A real find for mystery or humor fans who enjoy hard-boiled Americana. S.G.B. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: SEPT 97]
