Mother Teresa, founder of the Missionaries of Charity, authorized this biography to be published after her death. She carried on her lifework dedicated to serving lepers, the poor, the dying, and the orphaned throughout the world for fifty years. In 1979 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her labors.
