MOTHERHOOD STRESS

The stress of motherhood can be helped with some proven stress relievers. Side one features Deborah Lewis reading various episodes, which illustrate the stress; these continue onto side two. The few coping techniques are quickly covered on side two. Lewis’s reading comes across as amateurish, strained and theatrical. But on side two her reading improves, becoming more natural in cadence and tone. Gregg Lewis’s section sounds realistic and pleasant. Mothers already know about their stress, but the tape could add needed perspective on motherhood for couples planning a family, and for husbands and teenagers.
