MOVE ON, ADVENTURES IN THE REAL WORLD

This tape could be subtitled "Linda Ellerbee: More than you ever wanted to know." Unlike her wry, funny presentation of her earlier book, And So It Goes, this breast-beating tape renders intimate revelations boring. The fact that Ellerbee is reading her own words, almost as if she is confessing on tape to a friend, may make some listeners uncomfortable. The opening section, on how the author grew up hating television, was most enjoyable, but even here she is apologetic. The listener senses that chunks of the text are missing.
