Shaman Joanne Walker investigates a museum murder with Seattle cop Billy Holliday. Gabra Zackman's low-pitched voice suits Joanne's low-key personality. Zackman makes a quirky cast of characters and an offbeat story accessible to listeners. However, she doesn't present a large repertoire of character voices, and her pacing and humor need refining. Her narration would really pop if she emphasized the story’s humor and revved up her pace. Great for car listening, the production delivers consistent recording levels at a comfortable volume.
