ON MYSTIC LAKE

Hannah weaves a tale of healing broken families and broken hearts. Anne retreats to Mystic, her childhood home, to heal and in the process helps Nick, a tragic widower, and his mournful daughter, Izzie, forge a new life. With minimal characterization, Susan Ericksen quietly and unobtrusively breathes life into Anne, Nick and Izzie and the rest of Mystic, drawing the listener into this tale of reawakening and inner strength. Ericksen's performance of emotional scenes tugs at the heart and draws the listener ever deeper into the tale. Mournful music accentuates the difficult nature of the lessons learned.
