Joyce Bean's performance in this Arcane Society installment is all a listener could hope for—well acted, with each character's voice distinct and appropriate. Quirky Chloe Harper, who comes from a family of lovable eccentrics, is a psychic detective who accesses “dream energy” to find and authenticate valuables. The romantic sparks fly when the handsome and paranormally powerful Jack Winters hires her to find a dangerous lamp created by one of his ancestors, a lamp that can enhance or destroy his talents.
