NOTORIOUS

Angela Brazil provides a straightforward narration of this fast-paced story of romance between an actress and a businessman out for revenge. Mallory Thane is ready to start her life over again after the murder of her husband and the destruction of her career. Then the offer of a new movie comes along that may put her life back on track. The story moves quickly, helped along by Brazil's pacing, but her portrayals of the anger and passion that develop between the lovers fall short. At times, Brazil sounds uninterested in her reading.
