RIVER TALES

Six stories, first broadcast on "Shelf Life" on WBAI-FM, New York City, introduce listeners to two dark spirits who prowl Eastern river valleys playing tricks--Boogerberry Man and Twitchy Boy. There are also stories about an ancient, pond-dwelling giant sea worm and the Calicoon Twins, who snare the Twitchy Boy and engineer a few tricks of their own. The telling of these tales is as fresh and imaginative as the stories themselves. DiLauro has a relaxed, easy-to-listen-to style.
