ACORNA'S QUEST

In this sequel to ACORNA: THE UNICORN GIRL, a young unicorn-like human infant sets out to learn who she and her people are. Anna Fields, as always, vividly portrays a wide range of characters with great facility. Their distinct personalities are clearly reflected in their speech patterns and inflections. Fields conveys the strong emotion that runs through the book--from the veneration and awe of the children Acorna strives to save from exploitation to the sense of conflict Acorna feels as she leaves behind friends and family to search for her homeland.
