BULLETS OFF-BROADWAY

Retired New York City cop Sam Jenkins has taken a position as police chief in the sleepy East Tennessee town of Prospect City. Suddenly he’s got the ugly murder of a city councilman on his plate. Three people stand out as suspects: the long-suffering wife, a Vietnam vet drifter, and a number of members of the local Wild West reenactment club. Narrator David Colacci has a field day seamlessly jumping between Jenkins’s no-nonsense East Coast noir rhythms and the local suspects’ good-old-boy drawls.
