THE NEXT CHRISTIANS

Lyons, a well-known researcher and educator of Christians, exhorts believers to more fully engage with a spiritually diverse culture. His delivery is conversational yet vigorous. One can hear the sadness in his voice when he shares stories of Christian detachment from the culture. Conversely, one can feel his face light up with joy when he recounts stories of Christians seeking to participate in the culture, as both Jesus Christ and the Apostle Paul did. Though one may not agree with everything, Lyon’s passionate plea to return to what matters—the gospel—will challenge listeners to engage with the culture more effectively.
