Set in the 1300’s in a village not far from Venice, Simple Prayers is a captivating tale of love, revenge and magic. Golding creates characters with affection and flashes of humor and tells his tale with the care of a gifted storyteller. Those who have come to expect the very best from narrator Frank Muller will not be disappointed by this, his first reading of an abridged audiobook. He does a marvelous job with the numerous Italian names and phrases; slight vocal changes and inflections make the characters come alive.
