ABLE ONE

North Korea has exploded a high-altitude nuclear weapon that has knocked out most of the world’s satellites. This event forces the U.S. to put a top-secret weapon into operation ahead of schedule: ABL-1, a gigantic laser, mounted on a 747 airplane. The laser has not yet been tested but is theoretically capable of destroying a missile in flight. ABL-1’s crew is as untested as the weapon, and to make matters worse, one of them may be a saboteur. Stefan Rudnicki keeps the pace fast as he narrates with a grim determination that fits the high tension of the story. His narration raises this techno-thriller to higher levels.
