Sometimes all it takes to liven up an audiobook is a pleasant voice. That's what Gregory Harrison lends most to Tom Grace's contemporary suspense novel, which follows the exploits of various ex-SEALs, murderous Chinese intelligence operatives and greedy computer geeks, all of whom are in pursuit of a super-computer. Harrison, best known for playing Gonzo on television's "Trapper John, M.D.," isn't exactly what you'd call a vocal talent. His accents tend to get mixed up, and he makes no real distinction between the sexes. But his soothing baritone resonates with just the kind of calm that never grows tiring. The folks who put out the phone book should consider him as a reader. D.A.W. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: JUN/JUL 99]
