STAR TREK THE NEXT GENERATION: SHIP OF THE LINE

by | Read by Kevin Conway

Science Fiction • 3 hrs. • Abridged • © 1997

In a "Star Trek: The Next Generation" television episode, the ENTERPRISE saves the BOZEMAN, which has been trapped in a time warp for 70 years. The BOZEMAN's Captain Bateson and crew are featured here as they try to cope with a new present, and a past that's too far gone. Then Captain Picard is sent away on a diplomatic mission; Bateson takes charge of the new ENTERPRISE, and an interstellar war nearly ensues. Reader Conway carries each character with recognizable accuracy; Picard, for example, could almost be Patrick Stewart himself. Conway is nicely assisted by "Star Trek" background noises and music; there's always some background sound, if only the low thrum of huge machines at work. This is a masterful production.
