Colorado caterer and part-time crime-solver Goldy Schulz is again up to her Crock-Pot in trouble when a private investigator friend is murdered while trying to find stolen jewels, investigate a stalker, and close down a puppy mill. Barbara Rosenblat superbly portrays the irrepressible Goldy. She smoothly transitions to credibly portray the hunky Tom, Goldy's cop husband, and gives a convincing performance of the Cuban-American characters who fill this fun story. Especially entertaining is crotchety Ferdinanda, Goldy's weapon-packing, wheelchair-bound houseguest, who is bent on helping Goldy while dishing up a little mayhem on the side.
