THERE'S A HIPPOPOTAMUS ON OUR ROOF EATING CAKE AND OTHER STORIES

Six stories about an imaginary hippo who can live life large and help a youngster out with issues such as starting school, going to the hospital, going on vacation, and taking a bath are compiled in this collection. Neither hippo nor young character has much personality. Benita Collings does her best with this collection of Edwards’s hippo stories, but the humor is flat and the Aussie/English expressions may not be clear to young listeners.
