Dmitri, or “D,” is a lonely kid making the best of being in a foster home. He’s also the host for a supernatural entity that is looking to help trapped souls move on to the afterlife. In this short allegorical tale, the characters are well-drawn archetypes. Benjamin Darcie brings each human vividly to life and creates stand-out personalities for the otherworldly beings and ghosts. He speaks the part of “D” with an endearing catch in his voice. Overall, Darcie’s portrayals of sweet “D,” tough jocks, smart girls, and ethereal beings have staying power.
