A WIZARD SCORNED

Magic, wizards and sorcerers create an alternate world, reminiscent of the early West in America. Sojourner, a black leopard-like cat, is really a dark, handsome sorcerer under the spell of Cordelia, a much-feared wizard. Parker reads this 1998 Sapphire Award Winner, full of love, magic and wizardry, with bright, bell-like tones. She portrays Jane, a '90s New York businesswoman transported magically into the alternative world, with cold logic, until Sojourner entrances her. Parker draws listeners into the characters and delivers a stellar performance contrasting feelings and reason.
