THE WOMAN WARRIOR

This stream-of-consciousness biography is part Amy Tan, part Bruce Lee and part ancient Chinese mythology. The story is filled with rich imagery and evocative scenes. The Chinese-American author shares both her fantasies of a valiant warrior-self and her day-to-day sufferings in society cruelly repressive to women.
