The former U.S. senator from New Jersey, New York Knick, and Rhodes Scholar lays out his own prescription for the nation’s problems, and he has some creative ideas that go beyond blaming the two main political parties. Peter Ganim joins Bradley as narrator, with Bill Bradley reading the introduction and conclusion and Ganim the main text. Bradley has a scratchy, quiet voice that maintains a Midwestern plainness and lends credibility to the book but isn’t suited for an expanded recitation. Ganim has a deep, smooth trained voice that is well suited for an engaging narration. He uses his voice to support Bradley’s words, and he knows how to emphasize, pause, and modulate his presentation for maximum effect. The author made two wise decisions: writing the book and letting Ganim deliver most of it. R.I.G. © AudioFile 2012, Portland, Maine [Published: JULY 2012]
