JUSTICE DENIED An Investigation Into the Death of Jaidyn Leskie

Bowles illustrates that fact is, indeed, stranger than fiction in this heartbreaking story. Fourteen-month-old Australian Jaidyn Leskie disappears when the babysitter briefly leaves him alone; a pig's head is left in return! The seemingly bungled police investigation and trial are meticulously detailed. Narrator David Baldwin is splendid with a gamut of accents and a virtual cornucopia of suspects and personalities--barristers and criminals alike. Even light-hearted moments are handled with skill. While the listening experience is excellent overall, the female author, writing in the first person, is read by a male narrator, causing occasional confusion.
