Bill Kelsey's stately and distinguished baritone is certainly pleasing to the ear. When listening to this audiobook, one feels transported to the classroom of a distinguished professor delivering a well-crafted lecture. While Horne's text is intricately written and filled with non-English names and phrases, Kelsey never misses a beat and never mispronounces words with his clear and evenly paced delivery. As for the content of the work, it is filled with facts and interesting insights about Napoleon's personal and political activities--perhaps too many for those without great interest in the Little General.
