In the seventh novel of the popular Left Behind series, airline pilot Rayford Steele and his fellow members of the underground Tribulation Force try to keep the faith alive as Satan takes possession of earth's new ruler. The eschatological themes and apocalyptic jargon may leave most of us behind, but Richard Ferrone's dry and evenly delivered reading makes this an enjoyable adventure.
