Terminal cancer patient Stella Newland spends her remaining days in an English nursing home. She reveals her darkest secret to her compassionate caretaker and friend, Genevieve Warner. Laural Merlington delivers an elegant interpretation of the refined Stella as she exposes her scandalous past. In her warm and majestic British accent, Merlington introduces the listener to Genevieve's gregarious lover and his self-indulgent, high-strung wife, establishing harmony with the first and a dislike for the latter. Through out the story, Merlington mesmerizes the listener with her rapid character exchanges, especially during Stella's reenactment of the worst day of her life.
