Eleven-year-old Robin loses everything familiar to him when his mother leaves on an extended honeymoon with her second husband. Living with Auntie Mags is not so bad, but her self-righteous boyfriend doesn't like him. The gang of boys at Robin's new school dares him to steal the Nordlings’ show cat, Lief Erickson. Diana Bishop has a pleasant, English voice with undertones of a deeper reasonance. Her characterizations are subtle and effective.
