Mack Bolan, who has seen more action than Rambo, travels to Peru to track down an important U.S. businessman who has been kidnapped by Shining Path guerillas. Assisted by the businessman's paratrooper daughter, Bolan tracks down and rescues him. Along the way Bolan takes on, and out, some drug kingpins and corrupt officials, as well as a large number of their cronies. Long on descriptions of weapons and action, a bit short on character development, this work is never dull. Fans will appreciate Richard Rohan's reading. His controlled pace never rushes the narration. His somewhat laconic, but never monotonous, tone is quite appropriate for this genre. Foreign accents, although sometimes weak, are acceptable.
