HOW TO CATCH A BOGLE

Catching monsters is serious business, and Alfred is the best bogler there is. With his apprentice, Birdie, there’s no bogle they can’t vanquish. Mandy Williams confers a gruff, businesslike tone on Alfred while Birdie’s delightful singing voice will capture listeners as strongly as it does the bogles she’s attempting to lure. Birdie, Alfred, and their lady friend, Miss Eames, run afoul of a thoroughly unscrupulous doctor who also wants to capture a bogle. Birdie is kidnapped and thrown into a lunatic asylum, where her anguished cries are delivered with strong emotion. Williams’s performance sparkles as she deftly portrays the myriad characters, and their various London accents, with enthusiasm.
