THE KILLER WORE LEATHER

A leather convention? Seriously? Deadly serious as it turns out. Rivalry in the competition to see who can reign in the coming year's promotional publicity and jealousy over previous years' contests provide motive for murder. Lauren Fortgang flicks her voice around like a riding crop as she jumps between characters as diverse as androgynous convention staff, obese submissives, diminutive dominators, homosexual porn stars, and a voyeuristic journalist. Her expertise carries the listener along with the story's dizzying plot twists while keeping them in tears of laughter on a nearly constant basis. The actual erotic passages take second place to the pure fun of the story, and the entire production works on a quirky level.
