GUESSWORK Prim and Odin

Narrator Colby Elliott deftly captures each unique, often endearing, character in this mystery, which centers around a small-town carnival. Primrose (Prim) Whistler spends the summer with her eccentric Aunt Veronica. When Prim's friend disappears after a Ferris wheel ride, Prim must rely on Joe Odin, a carny who can guess a person's weight, age, hometown, or favorite whiskey, to help her find out what happened. Elliott is particularly entertaining in his creation of Odin, a trickster character. Further, his rendering of Prim and her young circle is also fascinating and realistic.
